To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Albert Einstein's most famous scientific papers, I took my telescope down to the National Academy of Sciences in Washington DC and photographed it next to the Albert Einstein Memorial. He seems to be pondering its use!

If you look closely, you'll notice that there are no mount rings holding the telescope to the mount. That's because I forgot them! I had to hold the scope with one hand as my wife took the picture. I later removed my hand from the shot with Photoshop.

This photo was selected as NASA's Astronomy Picture Of the Day (APOD) for April 22nd, 2005. The next day it was PhotoShoped on http://www.fark.com .
