LUNT LS35 FIRST LIGHT IMAGE

First light for the newest solar scope on
Earth! The new Lunt Solar Systems LS35 telescope has been
received. I spent some time getting to know it and bringing it
to focus with a camera. The results are above. While the end
product is still being tweaked, this little scope looks
promising. Compact, light, and affordable. What's not to like!

FETTU World Tour IYA 2009

I am honored to have been asked to
participate in the International Year of Astronomy's
"From the Earth To The Universe" worldwide exhibit. Two of my solar images
are shown to the public on billboards, posters, kiosks and
prints in over 38 countries worldwide. I am truly grateful to
the organizers for the invitation!

LUNT LS75HA FIRST LIGHT

I conducted an imaging session for the
Arizona Solar Conference at Lunt Solar Systems in Tucson this
past weekend. The double stacked LS75Ha was on the tracking
mount so I used it. The filters produced a wonderfully even
field image using the Lumemera SKYnxy camera. Looks like Lunt
has a real winner on it's hands! | MORE
